Aire Flamenco

I had so much fun performing with Aire Flamenco!!!
The Company

Solana and Lucia flank me in my Caracoles dress,
which has a three-foot train (AH!);
the Caracoles dance is also performed with a big shawl and fan!

El Baile is a classical Spanish dance piece with Flamenco influence.
(We joked that we looked like Flamenco Flight Attendants--
"There will be turbulence." Ha!)

Sevillanas Sass!

Bulerias! Toma!

Fin de Fiesta!

Austin and Kelly's offering (a giant cookie!).
I also received beautiful roses from my parents, Nick's parents, and Solana & Lucia.

Nick helped to sell tickets at all three shows!!!
He also helped make the programs and posters! He is the best!

I loved performing for my family, friends and students.
Thank you for coming!
(There will be a DVD for those who couldn't attend :].)

The entire second weekend of April
was dedicated to the Flamenco shows--
I was delirious with performing and am so grateful
for the gifts of dance, music and duende!

Happiest of Easters!

Our dearest friends Austin and Kelly surprised us
with an Easter-egg hunt!
It took us an hour to find 20 eggs in one big room!
Sara had to eat some of the candy for sustenance.

Note Nick's chagrin at Sara's shortsightedness;
the purple dot right at Sara's eye level is an egg.

We made one for them, too (they were much faster)!

And a delicious brunch!
(Please note the Easter attire.)

Family Portraits were taken...

...and Rock Band was played (kind of)!

We also attended Justy's Easter Vigil baptism and confirmation in Denver (while Sara's parents were at Lindsay's confirmation in California). The church and service were beautiful, and we were honored to celebrate with her, Bryan-David and the girls!
